Satyajit P. Doctor MS'91

A distinguished alumnus with a passion to develop the next generations on scientists and entrepreneurs.

After he earned his master’s degree from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1991, Satyajit P. Doctor MS’91 launched Award Solutions Inc., a company he founded with a UT Dallas classmate in 1997. The Richardson-based business helps customers tackle new technologies through eLearning courses and information.

Although his tenure as a UT Dallas student ended years ago, Doctor has continued to encourage Comets to develop interests in science and business through his role on the executive council at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.

In 2014, Doctor established the Doctor Family Opportunity Fund to support the Jonsson School.

Doctor is also the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award, an honor given to graduates with remarkable personal achievements and whose work demonstrates pride in the University.
