Before you Go

Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your study abroad plans and how it fits into your degree plan.
Review and apply for study abroad program via the Comets Abroad portal.
Check to see if your chosen destination is considered a High Risk Region.
International students: Review the Education Abroad Guide for International Students and meet with an immigration advisor to discuss any impact on your visa status.
Complete all requirements listed for your program in the Comets Abroad portal.

UT Dallas student travel authorization should be completed three (3) weeks prior to your departure.
Course registration must be complete during regular registration according to the Academic Calendar.
Register and attend mandatory pre-departure orientation prior to your departure.
Register your trip itinerary in International SOS (ISOS).
Print your International Travel Insurance ID card, and review the policy.
Check with Education Abroad staff at least three (3) weeks prior to your departure to ensure all UT Dallas travel documents are complete.
