• Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers a competition for awards for undergraduate study abroad and was established by the International Academic Opportunity Act of 2000. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
• Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is expanding access to study abroad by raising awareness of its benefits to the individual and value to the collective, and by granting scholarships of up to $10,000.Applicants from groups underrepresented in study abroad and those destined for non-traditional locations are given preference, in an effort to make the demographics of U.S. undergraduates studying abroad reflect the rich diversity of the U.S. population.

• National Security Education Program (NSEP) NSEP awards David L. Boren Scholarships to outstanding U.S. undergraduates through a competitive national merit-based process. Each Boren Scholar goes abroad to a critical country to study its language and culture. Awards are for up to one academic year. Boren Scholars demonstrate their merit for an award of up to $20,000 in part by committing to work for the U.S. Government for at least one year.
• DAAD German Academic Exchange Service Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. The goal of this program is to support study abroad in Germany and at German universities. Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or an independent study abroad semester or year.
• Freeman-ASIA Program Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia

• David L. Boren Graduate Fellowships Boren Fellowships provide up to $30,000 to U.S. graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency. Boren Fellowships support study and research in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests.
• Fulbright Program The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects.  A candidate will submit a Statement of Grant Purpose defining activities to take place during one academic year in a participating country. Fulbrighters will meet, work, live with and learn from the people of the host country, sharing daily experiences.  Grant lengths and dates vary by country. • The Rhodes Scholarships The Rhodes Scholarships are the oldest and most celebrated international fellowship awards in the world. Each year 32 young students from the United States are selected as Rhodes Scholars. The Rhodes Scholarship application is available each year in early July.
• The Marshall Scholarships Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.
