Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society that is a certified member of The Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. The society seeks to honor and promote academic excellence, service, leadership and unity.
Criminology Graduate Student Association
CGSA seeks to serve as the voice of the criminology graduate students, facilitate professional development, and foster relationships among students. We hold several events throughout the year, including a brown bag lecture series. At these meetings, we host different faculty members sharing their expertise on a wide range of topics, from grant writing to publishing to non-academic jobs. We also serve our community throughout the year. We are open to any criminology graduate student at UTD.

Geospatial Information Sciences Student Organization
The GISSO Student Organization is dedicated to the promotion of scientific knowledge in the various disciplines of geography and remote sensing including but not limited to: mapping, spatial information management, and the related sciences. This organization fosters understanding and cooperation and to expedite the exchange of knowledge and ideas among the members and with those of other national and international organizations with similar or related interests. Anyone with interests in GIS/Remote Sensing and related fields is welcome to join us.

International City/County Management Association
ICMA Student Chapters introduce and integrate students into the local government management profession and familiarize them with members, resources, and the ICMA Code of Ethics. As a part of ICMA’s Next Generation Initiatives, chapters exist to establish connections between ICMA, schools, students, state associations, and managers.

An exercise in appellate advocacy, UTD’s Moot Court is modeled after the appellate procedure employed in state and federal courts. Students are given a hypothetical case and about 20-25 actual precedents with which to construct both petitioner and respondent oral arguments on a Constitutional Law topic to present to the Supreme Court of the United States. Students take a class to develop, practice and refine oral arguments for tournament competition. To participate on the team, students must be enrolled in the Moot Court class, which is designed to run for an entire academic year and has a limit of twelve. Instructor permission is required to enroll, with the strong preference that the student has taken Constitutional Law or an equivalent class beforehand.

Peer Health Exchange is a national nonprofit organization that empowers young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make healthy decisions by training local college volunteers to teach our skills-based health curriculum focused on sexual health, mental health, and substance abuse to high school students that is queer- and trans-inclusive, trauma-informed, and harm reduction focused.

The organization seeks to stimulate scholarship and intelligent interest in political science. Pi Sigma Alpha members can benefit from events and programs organized at a national level that promote the profession of political science. Pi Sigma Alpha is designated as a “Specialized, Upper-Division” society by the Association of College Honor Societies and PSA seeks to enhance students’ understanding of the field and various opportunities.

The goal of the PPPE club is to create an interactive platform for students in Public Policy and Political Economy (PPPE). The club aims to build positive relationships between students and faculty at UT Dallas, and the DFW policymakers.
