Institutional Compliance

The University of Texas at Dallas is committed to equal access and opportunity in the administration of its employment and educational policies, programs, and activities, including providing reasonable accommodation in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

The ADA Coordinator monitors the university’s effort to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Title IX Coordinator monitors compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. In addition, the Office of Institutional Compliance (OIC) monitors compliance efforts with other federal and state equal opportunity laws and processes complaints of discrimination based on protected class brought to us by employees, students, applicants for admission or employment, visitors, and others within the campus community.

Workplace and educational accommodations are determined by campus representatives with expertise in the area (see Policy for Reasonable Accommodations). OIC can direct employees and students to the appropriate campus offices and assist visitors to campus with finding the resources they need. If you need assistance, please email ADACoordinator@utdallas.edu or TitleIXCoordinator@utdallas.edu.

Barriers on Campus

UT Dallas strives to prevent and remove barriers to access through maintenance and response to reported problems. Individuals who encounter a physical, electronic, or programmatic barrier on campus, such as an inoperative elevator, an inaccessible website, a blocked access ramp or any other access barrier, can assist in this effort by identifying the problem so the barrier can be removed as quickly as possible in order to maintain access for everyone.

Report a barrier to access using the Report an Accessibility Barrier form or email ADACoordinator@utdallas.edu.
