Cosmology, Relativity & Astrophysics Research
The cosmology and relativity group studies a wide range of topics, including the cosmic acceleration, dark energy, dark matter, early universe models, cosmic microwave background, gravitational lensing, black holes, exact solutions to Einstein’s equations, and large scale structures.
Students and faculty in the cosmology group study standard astrophysics and cosmological models, as well as phenomenologies beyond these standard models, including investigations of their possible observational signatures.
The research involves analytical and numerical projects and makes use of the data taken from experiments performed in satellites and on the ground.
