The Department of Physics at The University of Texas at Dallas engages in internationally respected research, while delivering extraordinary educational value. Research in physics at UT Dallas currently focuses on condensed matter and materials, cosmology/relativity, space sciences and high-energy physics. Other research areas include biophysics, nanotechnology, climate and remote sensing. Interdisciplinary collaboration is fostered and encouraged, allowing students with diverse interests to find a research home. Faculty and students carry out cutting-edge research that is advancing the fundamental state of knowledge in many fields. There are many opportunities for students to get involved in research.
