Mammograms on Campus, November 20

with the UT Southwestern Mobile Mammography Unit when comes to UT Dallas on November 20.
The Mobile Mammography Unit will be performing mammograms from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
near the southeast corner of the Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM) on the traffic circle. These appointments are available to all UTD faculty,
staff, and their spouses. Please have your health insurance information ready when you call.
Remember to bring your photo ID and health insurance card to your appointment.
The results of your mammogram will be sent to your home in a pink envelope.

starting October 2 to walk a one mile loop around Synergy Park North (SPN.) These walks begin outside the
SPN [Synergy Park North] Wellness Center
and will continue for 31 weekdays. Challenge yourself to attend every one,
and before you know it, you’ll have walked 31 miles!

What the Fit?! offers UT Dallas faculty, staff and students the opportunity to participate in free group exercise classes and nutrition education each Tuesday and Thursday during the month of June at the Activity Center. Scheduled classes include —

2015 UT System Physical Activity Challenge
Join this year’s UT System Physical Activity Challenge, and get moving!
The six-week challenge will begin April 6 and end May 17. The goal is for participants
to complete an online health assessment and 50,000 steps per week (10,000 steps per
day/5 days a week) or equivalent physical activity during the challenge.
Participants will earn prizes by tracking their activity throughout the challenge,
and UT Dallas will be competing for its division’s Physical Activity Challenge
traveling trophy.
Register online now through April 10, 2015.
Bring your registration email to the Office of Human Resources (AD 2.208) to claim your starter kit and pedometer
while supplies last.
A kickoff event will be held April 6 on the UT Dallas campus.

Catapult Health will be providing free on-site health screenings from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There are only 62 appointments available, so schedule your appointment today. Participants must provide their UT SELECT medical insurance card at the time of service and are required to fast (don’t eat or drink for 8 hours) prior to appointment.
Passport Health / North Texas will provide
flu shots (PDF [Portable Document Format File] , 230KB) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Other vaccines available are: Pneumonia, TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis Injection,) and Vitamin B12 vaccines. The cost is $15, and is not covered by insurance. Appointments must be scheduled online.

10-Week Wellness Challenge Kick Off
The 2015 10-Week Wellness Challenge, a team-based weight-loss and physical activity program, begins on January 26.
The challenge is conducted in teams of up to 10 people. To sign up online, team captains should go to www.livehealthynorthtexas.org, select “join today” and enter the Group ID: LHDUTD to create a team and add team members. Team members will then receive an email message with a username and password to log in and complete their profile.
The UT Dallas Wellness Committee will host the kickoff event for the Live Healthy North Texas 2015 10-Week Wellness Challenge on Monday, January 26, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Galaxy Rooms A and B (SU 2.602.)
